About us

The Centre for Humanitarian Psychology was established in 1998, pioneering at that time the field of humanitarian psychology and capacity building for relief workers.

The CHP is an international nongovernmental organization with the objective of improving the professionalization of humanitarian staff in the field of mental and psychosocial well-being.

We do this by disseminating specialized information, offering online training programs, as well as support services for distressed aid workers. We work with a large pool of mental health and psychosocial experts.

The CHP is a Swiss-based registered association.
