In the last two years, the number of calls to CHP’s Hotline has grown by 36%, translating the increase in humanitarian emergencies worldwide.

In order to keep up with this flow of distressed humanitarian aid workers, the CHP is reinforcing its Hotline team of responders, maintaining the quality of service that has been CHP’s hallmark since its beginnings in 2000 through a new course.

The CHP is therefore recruiting people who have both counseling knowledge and humanitarian field experience to answer on our Hotline service. Once on board, they will be trained with a 4 month program (16 weeks) giving them Online Peer Support qualifications needed to walk aid workers through sometimes very dire situations. Participants will be certified as Humanitarian Peer Specialists by the CHP.
