TRAINING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

When enrolling in a training course with the Centre for Humanitarian Psychology (CHP), the participant agrees to accept the following general Training Terms and Conditions:

Registration

Registrations for a training course can be made by completing an online registration form available on CHP’s website.

Course fee

The course fee for open public courses will be charged per participant for the entire course. It includes attendance to the Training Course, all Training Course material and a final Certificate.

It does not include accommodation, meals, travel or any other expenses that may be incurred by participants (except for lunch and refreshments when explicitly mentioned in any Training Course description).

For volume discounts applied to a specific customer such as a humanitarian agency, the total purchase order amount will be invoiced by the CHP upon receipt of the purchase order or equivalent.

Payment options

The CHP accepts the following forms of payment:

  • Paypal with a credit card
  • Bank transfer

Payment Terms

The Course Fee is due for payment strictly 14 days prior to the Training Course start date.

Substitutions and Cancellations by the Participant

A qualified substitute may be enrolled in a participant’s place provided the CHP is notified by email before the first day of the Training Course.

Customer may cancel or reschedule attendance of the training delivery, but the CHP will apply the following charges:

6-10 working days                                          50% of the course fee

0-5 working days                                           100% of the course fee

Confirmation

The CHP will send a confirmation email to the participant and/or participant’s organization training contact once the completed registration and a valid form of payment have been received. Registrations for which a valid form of payment has not been received at least 3 days prior to the start of the course will not be confirmed and the CHP reserves the right to release any unconfirmed seats, at any time, without notice.

Cancellations and Changes by the CHP

If the CHP has to cancel the Training Course for any reason, there will be a 100% refund of any prepaid Course Fee to the participants. However the CHP will not be liable for any other costs incurred, including travel charges or any consequential damages, even if we were advised of them.

Alterations to the Training Course Program

It may become necessary for the CHP to make alterations to the content, instructors, timing, venue or dates of the Training Course compared to the advertised program.

If the CHP has to change the location of the Training Course, it will give the participants as much advance notice as possible of any such change. If the participant is unable to attend the Training Course at the revised location, the CHP will refund 100% of any prepaid Course Fee. However, the CHP will not be liable for any other costs incurred including travel charges or any consequential damages, even if we were advised of them.

Copyright / Intellectual Property Rights

The copyright in and all other intellectual property rights relating to the course documentation, and any other training materials provided to the course participants, are solely owned by and hereby reserved to the CHP. Under no circumstances may the whole or any part of the course documentation be produced or copied in any form or by any means, translated into another language or sold without the prior written permission of the CHP. Training materials are defined to also include all electronic knowledge products or learning systems, which have been given to the participant on a storage device or made accessible via the Internet. Offenders are liable for payment of damages.

Law and jurisdiction

These Conditions are governed solely by substantive Swiss law, excluding treaty law. The sole jurisdiction for all disputes arising out of or in connection with this agreement is Geneva, Switzerland.
